29 years after. 17 nominations later. Several should-have-beens including the most recent one for Julie & Julia. Congratulations, Meryl Streep! You are the true Best Actress of the times—- with probably the most number of played nationalities in film. :) One more Oscar and you tie with the late Katharine Hepburn. :)

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN
Watched this last week, and I thought the film was too artsy that it almost bored me, but the story and the storytelling was smash!
Tilda Swinton was remarkable. A soft side of hers.
That kid, Ezra Miller, who played Kevin was promising, and his portrayal was haunting.
But you know whose performances are even more haunting? THE KIDS who played the young Kevins. And this poster is kickass. Marvelous!

Read on the news that Jennifer Hudson will perform a tribute to Whitney Houston at the Grammy’s tomorrow. Aww, just fitting as Houston was the one who awarded Hudson her first ever Grammy- Best R&B Album back in 2009.

Sometimes you’ll laugh, sometime’s you’ll cryLife never tells us the whens or whysWhen you’ve got friends to wish you wellYou’ll find your point when you will exhaleYesh, yeah, say, shoop, shoop, shoop, shoop be doop

My Mama is a Whitney Houston fan and I remember growing up to her album I’m Your Baby Tonight, and the song Miracle. When I was in elementary, I bought myself a cassette tape of My Love Is Your Love, and that will forever be one of my favorite Whitney moments. From her classics to Heartbreak Hotel, I Learned From The Best, and so on. I will miss you.

I am a lover of Solenn Heussaff. I am a lover of Rogue.
I had the September 2009 issue when a friend gave it to me by the time I learned about this fearless and, true to its name, rogue magazine. It was apparently Solenn’s second time on the cover months before she had her big break on GMA 7’s Survivor Philippines. The first issue, however, which happens to have featured Solenn Heussaff on the maiden issue was given to me by the magazine’s Creative Director when I told him how much of a lover I am of Rogue. Thank you, Miguel, always and always!
Today, I had my two Solenn covers signed with love.

Watched LOVE ACTUALLY today, and I cried four times. Or more. Two of the scenes that made me cry were these ones, and my favorite has got to be that one with Colin Firth and the Portugese lady, Aurelia.

Oh, and not to forget—- I cried so much tears during that scene where Keira was viewing the wedding videos taken by Andrew Lincoln (Mark), and it was all her shots. Tears!

I’ve had this original Love Actually DVD for quite sometime, more than a year, matter of fact, but I refused to watch it in full because I knew that the real side of myself- the one who believes in love over and over despite every fallen ones I have encountered- will come out. So it did. Although while I’m still single, I shall continue on with my campaign on the bad effects of love. Hehe!

***

I loved the film.

I can’t wait to be in love again. It’s been two years, with the last one in 2010 being a little less significant versus my previous ones, so I guess it’s safe to say that my real last relationship ended in January of 2008, and I’ve never met LOVE since then. Four years I have been single. I really wish I’d be ready sooner than I think. And please, Lord, let this be the real one. :)

The trouble with love is… haay… don’t even get me started.

On this music video for Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls), Mark Foster knew how to mess with an OSCAR NOMINEE! At the same time, on this music video alone, maybe, would be the first time that I’d give Gabourey Sidibe all my love and bows! Lucky her she got to kiss Mark Foster, and hot was the bro-hug of Cubie and Mark Pontius! :)
